Almighty God,
Heavenly Father,

You promised us in the Holy Scripture that You “will bring forth Your righteousness as the light, and Your judgment as the noonday.” (Psalms 37, 6)

Witnessing the tremendous amount of injustice and wanton lawlessness in the world, we tend to lose hope and grow despondent.

Being fragile embodiments of the biblical David, how can we possibly confront superior force, the Goliaths in our world?

We are tormented by our own sense of guilt for our complicit opportunism and cowardly retreat, by which we only embolden the evil, betray truth and our fellow man, and abandon the oppressed.

Forgive us our sins and our faintheartedness which condemn us, our weakness and frailty which give evil its strength!

Give us the faith of David, who overcame his fear in the knowledge that “It was You who fought for us.”

Bestow the certitude of the Psalmist in our hearts, who knew that truth shall emerge sure as the rising sun, who was firm in the conviction that the lawfulness of your commandments will prevail just as the laws of nature in the world you created.

Grant us, the oppressed, the faith and courage of conviction to stand up for justice and take action for one another.

We beseech You to deliver us from Evil! Grateful for Your deliverance, we pray for all the victims of an inhuman and godless regime and era. Console us, bless us and elevate us! “Let thy Kingdom come!”

Bless our Gathering, in whose community we launch the museum which will serve as healing remedy for the shared memory. Blessed be the memory of those whose sureness of conviction and Christ like sacrifice this museum acknowledges and sanctifies. Amen.
